Dr. Oleg Shulik, Gastroenterologist, Joins Mountainside Medical Group

Dr. Oleg Shulik received his medical degree from the University of Debreen Medical and Health Science Center and completed his internal medicine residency at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. Dr. Shulik has completed fellowships in geriatric medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, gastroenterology at New York Medical College, and advanced gastroenterology with the focus on advanced therapeutic endoscopy at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. R. Swami Nathan received his medical degree from Madurai Medical College and completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Dr. Nathan has extensive clinical experience in performing various gastrointestinal procedures. He has mastered his skills in procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, spyglass cholangioscopy, feeding tube placement, and small bowel capsule endoscopy. Of his many accomplishments, Dr. Nathan was the first physician in New Jersey to perform capsule endoscopies while becoming a leader in the field.

Dr. S. Charles Oh, Gastroenterologist, joins Mountainside Medical Group

Dr. S. Charles Oh has been practicing medicine for nearly three decades. Known for his warm and approachable style, Dr. Oh was named a Top Doctor by NJ Monthly Magazine in 2017/2018.  He completed his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center / Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed a clinical Fellowship at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center.  He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the American Board of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Steven Herman, Thoracic Surgeon, joins Mountainside Medical Group

Montclair, NJ, - (January 2019) – Mountainside Medical Group has announced that Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center’s Chief of Thoracic Surgery Steven Herman, M.D., has joined the practice.

Dr. Steven Herman holds several academic positions in prestigious institutions. He is an Associate Professor, Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine at Seton Hall. Dr. Herman is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and SUNY-Downstate Medical School. He specializes in minimally invasive thoracic surgery and performed the first minimally invasive video VAT Lobectomy in the New York City region.
