Oleg Shulik, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Debreen Medical and Health Science Center and completed his internal medicine residency at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. Dr. Shulik has completed fellowships in geriatric medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, gastroenterology at New York Medical College, and advanced gastroenterology with the focus on advanced therapeutic endoscopy at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Shulik is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology and is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Shulik entered the field of gastroenterology because of the opportunity it gives him to provide patients with long term care. "I went into medicine to help people and it gives me great joy to assist them in having a better quality of life," he said.

Dr. Shulik is interested advanced diagnostic techniques like chromoendoscopy and blue light endoscopy. These high-quality exams carry better outcomes in terms of ability to detect small polyps and perhaps advanced pre-cancerous lesions which all could be removed during the initial evaluation.

Dr Shulik is highly recommended by my family. He not only cares about his patients and their health but he educates us on the importance of the foods we consume. I was very impressed with his thoroughness in understanding my entire complaints overall. This is what healthcare should look like with a physician and most definitely Dr Shulik is one who cares about saving lives not making money!! Highly recommend!

Dr. Shulik is an excellent gastroenterologist physician. I met with him at his Verona, NJ outpatient office location to determine if scheduling a colonoscopy screening was right for me. He looked at my medical records, asked lots of questions to get a good history, carefully considered the guidelines, and recommended I use cologuard as a screening tool. He noted that I did not have a family history of colon cancer and that cologuard as a screening instrument is indicated at this time. He was very thorough, friendly and kind. He did not rush through the appointment and he answered all of my questions. The way that he treated me as a patient made me feel valued and heard. This was very important to me. I highly recommend this GI doctor and will send my mom, siblings and other loved ones to him for care.
