Mountainside Medical Group announced that Rosemarie Arena, M.D., has joined the practice, expanding their gastroenterology group.

Rosemarie Arena, M.D., is board certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in Gastroenterology. Dr. Arena values getting to know her patients as people first and foremost. “Taking the time to listen to the patient’s chief complaint, along with medical and personal history can help me tremendously improve a patient’s quality of life.”

Dr. Arena’s specific areas of interest include inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) and liver disease. “There are so many factors that can contribute to gastrointestinal disorders’, she says. “I like to keep an open dialogue with my patients about their diagnosis, tests and treatment options each step of the way.”

Dr. Rosemarie Arena received her medical degree, completed her residency and fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Her personal interests include, cooking, baking, figure skating, and spending time with friends and family.
